I Ghost Wrote the Most Notorious Alt-Right Piece Ever Published in Breitbart

Last year, on 25 August 2016, Hillary Clinton gave her famous speech on the altright.

The latest shake-up was designed to – quote – “Let Trump be Trump.” To do that, he hired Stephen Bannon, the head of a right-wing website called Breitbart.com, as campaign CEO.

To give you a flavor of his work, here are a few headlines they’ve published:

“Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive and Crazy.”

“Would You Rather Your Child Had Feminism or Cancer?”

“Gabby Giffords: The Gun Control Movement’s Human Shield”

“Hoist It High And Proud: The Confederate Flag Proclaims A Glorious Heritage.”

That one came shortly after the Charleston massacre, when Democrats and Republicans alike were doing everything they could to heal racial divides. Breitbart tried to enflame them further.

My Twitter mentions filled. I wasn’t watching the speech, but they all told me the same thing: Hillary Clinton mentioned your article.

The article entitled Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive And Crazy was published under Milo Yiannopoulos’ name on 8 December 2015 and the bulk of it was written by me. He wrote the introductory paragraph, and I admit that if I had published the article on Medium or similar it never would’ve went anywhere. What mattered to the incensed left is that it was published under his name and under the Breitbart banner.

For a while I was involved with this flurry of movers and shakers to the point where, in January 2016, I was named the Director of the Yiannopoulos Privilege Grant.

These tweets are from 13 October 2015.

If you click on this Google doc (Archive Link) connected to one of my email addresses you will find that it was last edited on 30 November 2015.

In the lead up to its publication I tweeted a few of the sources I had dug through:

Why birth control? I figured Trump would win, and I was trying to guess at the energy build-up and assumed it would turn into traditional conservatism with a dose of Christian values. I’d say I was right on that count.

Why publish this now? Well, gosh, since it’s still making lefties angry I’d like to claim my moral right to partial authorship and use it as a resume piece.

Thanks for reading.

I thought Canadians were all suppose to be mild and well mannered (except for French Canadians a personal experience). Wanting credit for that is pretty feisty. Maybe we Americans should be watching are Northern neighbors more closely.

  3. Margaret, I just found your website today and read your article: http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2015/12/08/birth-control-makes-women-unattractive-and-crazy/
Your points opened my eyes. Unconsciously, I’ve seen the harmful effects you mentioned and suspected it was because of pills.
I agree we need to keep Muslim invaders out and it’s time west open it’s eyes and save civilization. American people have started to open their eyes. Trump is our only hope and it seems he has gone somewhat soft about Muslims.
He can ban pills which are just products for companies to make profits. Pharma companies are making billions off it. The victims of these pills are women themselves.
In the name of women rights, they are selling these pills and link it to independent women. No one in this world is independent and that is just another lie spread to gain political and financial gain.
What else can I say? I’ll keep my family away from pills and educate everyone I know. Thank you very much for sharing this article. You’ve got a new loyal fan today. Keep up the good work!

[…] As well, it has been stated that Yiannopoulos is not being paid for his work. After years and years of refusing to pay his own writers, Milo is now feeling the pressure himself. It couldn’t have happened to a better person. Did I mention he still hasn’t admitted that I wrote his most infamous piece? […]
