What’s Going On With Berkeley Free Speech Week?

Names are dropping from next week’s Berkeley Free Speech Week list, leaving us with a bunch of people who take Instagram photos with Milo and wealthy benefactors with connections to the Mercer family.

Let’s examine the list of people who have both dropped out of the Free Speech Week or have outright said that their names were included without their consent. Trust me, getting your name off of anything associated with Milo is impossible. You can email for weeks and they won’t budge unless you go direct to social media or, God forbid, Buzzfeed.

The following is from a list of tweets posted by James Damore starting at 8:21pm EST on 19 Sept 2017:

Regarding Berkeley Free Speech Week: I was put on the list of announced speakers without my knowledge and won’t be speaking at the event. I value free speech and look forward to a day when the open exchange of different ideas is a commonplace and uncontroversial event. Different people have different ways of fighting for free speech and I’m not arrogant enough to claim to know the best way of doing so. I may not agree with the event’s provocative style, but I hope that some good comes of it and we all remain receptive of differing views.”

Last Thursday, 14 Sept 2017, Milo Yiannopoulos released the list of speakers who would be appearing at Berkeley Free Speech Week, including:

  • Miss Elaine
  • Lucian Wintrich with The Gateway Pundit, who asked Milo the last question during his press conference defending accusations of pro-pedophilia statements
  • Lisa DePasquale, formerly with Breitbart, formerly of the gay Republicans at GOProud, whose Wiki article states her show’s “popular guests include Greg Gutfeld, Nick Gillespie, Thaddeus McCotter, Milo Yiannopoulos and Chuck Dixon.”
  • Chadwick Moore, whose Instagram profile until recently said that he was the Head of Research at Milo, Inc.
  • Milo Yiannopoulos
  • Heather Mac Donald

  • SABO, a pro-Trump street artist
  • Professor Jordan Peterson
  • James Damore, author of the Google Memo

  • Mike Cernovich, buy his book
  • Charles Murray, co-author of The Bell Curve
  • Ariana Rowlands, Breitbart author whose Instagram account has lots of photos with Milo (5 June 20165 June 201631 October 20165 June 2017, 15 July 2017,  30 June 2016), and whose Twitter account is gone but I remember her getting real snippy at me
  • Stelion Onufrei, GOP hopeful who retweets lots of Milo-related information
  • Alex Marlow, Editor-in-Chief at Breitbart
  • Steve Bannon, former World of Warcraft gold farmer, currently heading Breitbart News

Here are the speakers who, in the last few days, have indicated that they will not be attending.

  • James Damore, who never agreed to speak in the first place
  • Charles Murray, who said he was never invited and did not intend to appear
  • Steve Bannon, as confirmed to me by a Breitbart employee
  • Ann Coulter, whose attendance is up in the air
  • Raheem Kassam

So that leaves us with an updated list of participants:

If you’re reading about security concerns for the event, please understand that it is likely related to Pamela Geller. In 2015 at an event in Garland, Texas featuring Geller and Geert Wilders when three jihadis attempted to massacre the attendees at the event in the first ISIS-claimed attack on American soil.

We’ll see tomorrow how many of these leaks and rumors are true, and how many were intentionally planted in order to make the event even more exciting.
